So, I've been watching the news lately and the biggest story on all of the channels is, surprise, surprise, the swine flu! Or, you know, to be politically correct, the N1H1 pandemic. (Psh, since when have I ever been politically correct?) And I was thinking, while that's bad and everyone should be aware of it, there's also another bad flu flying down our halls at PHS, and unsurprisingly, that's the one I'm concerned about. Curious to know what it is? :) Well, it's called girlenza and approximately 99.9% of teenage girls at our school have it or will be affected by it. Now, before you all worry and start jumping out of your skin, let's clarify what the symptoms and causes of this disease will actually do.
The dictionary says that girlenza is "... an ailment unique to the female gender responsible for over half the drama found in high schools around the country."
... Any of this sound familiar? :) Or maybe you all know this as girl disease? Haha.
The symptoms of girl disease include: fast beating heart, over excitement, watery eyes attested to allergies, sweaty palms, jealousy attacks and a false sense of insecurtiy. And, unfortunately, it seems that doctors are unable to pinpoint the actual cause of the disease, though five out of four of them agree that it has to do somewhat with the opposite gender. (Yes, boys, that'd be you.) It should also be noted that four out of the five doctors were woman... :D

It is said that those most at risk for girlenza are girls inbetween the ages of 12-21, though it has sometimes been found in both girls younger and some older woman. So far attempts at a vaccination have been nill. Looks like us girls are just gonna have to learn to deal and trust our immune system to find a way to create an immunity to it...
Or, you know... something could just mysteriously happen to all the boys on the planet. :)
Haha. That's all from me today! Love you all!
